Huge bottle of Altenmunster

Had a bit of a family dinner prior to my leaving for my trip to the UK to sample some warm beer. I opened a 2 litre bottle of Altenmunster I had been given for my birthday.

This is one of my favourite lagers; it pours with a nice head and is particularly pretty in a nice glass. I found that the 2ltr bottle was a good size for my little party and I wondered if it would work for a bigger “do” but I would expect it might get a little expensive if you bought several of this sized bottle, I think it is great as a centre piece though.  The big bottle should come in handy for refilling with the right homebrew.
