DRAFT NORWEGIAN WOOD AND BREAKFAST AND A BROWN ALE

OSLO
I have been in Stockholm now for a two nights – this is my second full day But I have to finish about the last day or so in Oslo first
And once again I cant find my notes in the files
I visited a brewery called
SHOUSKJELLEREN  MICROBRYGGRI
I was given the address by Ole of  Haandbryggeriet
I think he might have been a bit playfull because this was extremely difficult to find from using the map he gave me ---Even when I did think I found it I was still unsure because the entrance looked a bit like a public toilet ----But on closer inspection it turned out that this small entrance led down a couple of flights into the tunnel like bar that was as interesting as I had been told it had four of its own beers on tap as well as four guest beers and a selection of bottled beer.

IS THERE A BREWERY BEHIND THAT DOOR

AMUNDSEN BRYGERRI
Was the other brewery I had been told about
This had a lot more taps and believe tis or not but they had a ‘Norwegian Wood' on tap, the only
time I have ever seen this so I had two plus a couple of others and a
taster set and also lunch, photo somewhere to prove it, after finishing
the lunch a little man in a pinkish shirt who I had been watching for
a while, asked me how the meal was as they always do “a slightly oddly phrased how did that taste”
I asked the pink shirted fellow who he was in the scheme of things and he told me he was the manager and whose name is Geoffrey
We had a bit of a chat and then he asked me if I would like to see a beer he had
So we went into his chilled lock up room and he showed me the
collection of some of the rarest beers I have ever seen, a lot I have
never heard of.
We then went even further into the dungeons of the place and I tried a
couple of beers still in the production stage then back up to the bar
and he gave me a taste of a couple of others for comparison.

There was also the GRUNERLOKKA MICROBRYGGRI or brewhouse as the brewery was sited somewhere else   This is in the main street of are I was staying and which, while I am not sure I think is the name of the area itself  and across the road is an American style diner called the NIGHTHAWK DINER where I went for breakfast a couple of times

BREAKFAST AND A BROWN ALE

I am going to have to post this as the Internet access is so bad in this hotel it has taken days of repeated connecting to get this far
