I went to the fifties fair at the Rose Seidler cottage on the weekend That may not have a lot to do with this page apart from the fact that there was no beer tent And I would have thought a beer tent would have been in keeping with the theme of the day Anyway in the absence of the above we went to the Greengate Hotel at Gordon This is a nice place -biggish outside veranda area on two sides - a Bistro and a restaurant The prices of the bistro seemed to be about average for a pub It had the usual beer on taps as well as a Fat Yak and a Koenigsberg 1624 This pub seems to be a favourite stopping off place for a quick drink as quite a lot of other fair goers pulled up while we where there
Perhaps that could be a marketing ploy for future fairs - A nearby pub having a fifties day to coincide.
