I went to an Irish themed pub in Tempe on the weekend
I have to admit I was very disappointed in it
Not that there was any wrong with it - it just didn’t meet my expectations
I had read that this pub had eleven beers on tap and so I thought that it might have something different
Apart from a Harp lager there was nothing new. The only other Irish influence was the usual Guinness and Kilkenny
For some reason the Kilkenny has lost it appeal for me of late. The last three or four times I have tried it- it has been very ordinary
There was nothing to complain about as far as the food was concerned
I thought the décor could have been anything - as easily colonial Australian as Irish - maybe there is not much difference
Perhaps some of these themed places should go to the Moon and Sixpence in Perth to see how it might be done
